Barrier-free PC pool

The barrier-free PC pool is located in building IA, E0, room 105/109.

Opening hours

Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Note: To use the workstations, you must first be activated as a user. Please send an e-mail with your RUB-LoginID to its-inklusion@ruhr-uni-bochum.de. The room is available to all disabled students for free use.

Equipment

• Three workstations with electrically height-adjustable tables
• 24 to 27 inch monitors with swivel arm
• Two high-resolution document reading camera systems at individual large-font workstations for a razor-sharp, high-contrast and flicker-free image display of documents or objects
• OCR scanner for scanning documents
• Special software for the combined use of Zoom texts and voice output
• Braille display that allows texts to be read with the fingers
• Dimmable overhead light and partition screens to separate individual workstations for a pleasant and quiet working atmosphere
• Three Dialite Pro desk lamps
